Ganesh Himal Trekking

Region Starting/Finishing Duration Max. Altitude Trek grade Type of trek Langtang Kathmandu 19 days 5,000m / 16,400 ft Adventurous Fully Supported/Camping

The high valleys north of the Ganesh Himal range on the Tibetan border is wilderness country not frequented by trekkers. The trail starts from Dhunche following the upper valley of Syabru. You will have ample opportunity to visit the inhabitants of these areas, who live in flat-roofed, fortress-like villages. The journey around these legendary mountains, rugged culture and villages is a journey of discovery and adventure. Langtang is one of the legendary Hidden Valleys of the Himalayas, guarded by a three-tiered pagoda set on a rocky spur, high in the mountains. The walking is varied and adventurous, from tropical steep-sided gorges to pine forest and alpine meadows leading to a huge glacier below the snow-capped peaks. The trail ends at Trisuli Bazaar and the next morning we drive back to Kathmandu.
